Step 1: Excavation

The first step towards building your new Adair Home is the excavation or “dig out.”  Adair homes uses a crawlspace foundation which makes the excavation fairly straight-forward.  What we are trying to accomplish here is a square and level hole slightly larger than the footprint of the house:

This will be the front of the house, you’ll notice the orange, green, and yellow plastic tubes. These are the utility stubs which we will be hooking up to the home later on.
